I am sure by now that you are aware that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, IR35 has been postponed until April 2021… we heard the cheers of joy on Tuesday evening as it was announced.

Postponed not cancelled

Mr Barclay the Chief Secretary to the Treasury said on Tuesday:
“This is a deferral in response to the ongoing spread of Covid-19 to help businesses and individuals. This is a deferral not a cancellation and the government remains committed to reintroducing this policy to ensure people working like employees but through their own limited company pay the same tax as those employed directly.”

Hopefully this will give you some comfort during an unprecedented time of uncertainty. It also buys time to prepare for the reform.
